Mindful Art Project a Peer Led project for people recovering from mental health issues.
Mindful Art project aims include:
improving participants’ quality of life, mental health and well-being by addressing their loneliness and isolation.
a safe social space in which they can meet and work together learning about and creating artworks which in turn help improve mental health, self-image and well-being.
art activities which stimulate meaningful conversations about mental health and well-being.
non-judgmental atmosphere which helps members to feel safe, create art and talk to other members about mental health experiences
provide the opportunity where members pass on skills they have developed onto other disadvantaged people, can learn from each other and develop the confidence and self-esteem necessary to do so.
